How to Find Kayes Nursery and Tea Room

Kayes Nursery, Gardens and Tea Room are in the picturesque village of Silverdale in rural North Lancashire. Kayes is a short distance from the famous Leighton Moss Bird Reserve at Silverdale which is well-known for its special birds: breeding bitterns, bearded tits, marsh harriers and avocets.

Kayes Nursery is open from Tuesday to Saturday between March to October from 10am to 5pm. Kayes is closed on Mondays EXCEPT Bank Holidays. Between November and February, Kayes Nursery is open at weekends, closing for Christmas on the 16th December and re-opening in the New Year on Saturday 5th January 2008.

By Road

Kayes is easily accesible by car being just 5 miles or so from the M6 at Carnforth. Whether you're passing through the area, or visiting on holiday, a visit to Kayes will be a memorable experience.

• Directions...

Kayes is about 5 miles from Carnforth. Leave the M6 at junction 35 and head for Carnforth. At the traffic lights in Carnforth town centre, turn on to Market Street and follow the signs to Warton and Silverdale.

At Warton, take the left turn on to Sand Lane, signposted Silverdale. Continue along this road across the outskirts of Leighton Moss and over the level crossing. Take the left fork at the next junction and the next left turn. Follow the road through the woodlands and bear right on to Lindeth Road. Kayes is clearly signed on the left.

By Train

Silverdale train station is approximately 1½ miles from Kayes Nursery with regular trains from Lancaster, Manchester and South Cumbria.

By Bicycle
